Recently Elle South Africa celebrated 18 years being a fashion guide and inspiration taken from the core values of Elle – “stylish, playful, colourful, happy, inspiring, healthy, surprising, emotional, sexy, energetic, spirited, beautiful and happy.”
Fashion editor Tarryn Oppel said the idea for the shoot came from “when a ‘Happy 2014’ video was sent to our editor Jackie Burger from ELLE France. The video consisted of slides of all the pillars of ELLE with an image to represent each of these values. I then decided to have 12 T-shirts custom designed, each representing one of the 12 pillars of ELLE, and each worn by a different model who embodied that value – this was the way I envisioned celebrating Elle SA’s 18th birthday.” To find out more about this shoot visit the Elle Magazine website & watch this behind the scenes video.
Our Drive-In Studio is 160 m2 (14 x 9m) with a curve measuring 5.5m x 6m x 7m high. It has 63 amps over 3 phases of power available (with another 32 amps over 3 phases available from the Tailor Shop), hot & cold water for shower/rain/bath scenes with drainage in the studio floor. It also has a Bose sound system with iPod dock and like all our studios it has wireless internet and black out capability. To see all the spaces available to rent visit our photographic studios page.
With twelve different models the make-up room in studio was put to the test but it looks the models were enjoying things.
