Joynt Fabrication & Design to produce our “Hacienda” photo booth!

Our photo booths at last year’s Film and Event Media wrap party are still being talked about and this year we’re excited to see the “Hacienda”  Joynt Fabrication and Design are going to produce in our Jett Studio with the help and talent of Gerhard Rasch (Art Director) as well as The Prop Father.

Joynt Fabrication and Design is a relatively new company having opened their doors in March 2012 but the 3 partners, Nils Korupp, Jason Wright and Tracey Rollino have a wealth of experience and a 400 m2 factory in Paarden Eiland with a full spray booth at their disposal.

Each partner has a unique set of skill which together makes them a strong team. Nils’s background is in manufacturing bespoke wooden furniture. Jason’s background is in prop fabrication and armoury, he has also worked extensively on film sets as Stand By Fabricator/Set Builder. While Tracey’s background is from a production and crew perspective having started Radical Crew in 1994 before selling and moving back to One Step Beyond she now handles the marketing and financial running of Joynt Fabrication and Design. The most important member of the Joynt Fabrication and Design team is however, is Alicia Jordaan. Many may know her as a very strong 1^st Assistant Director. Alicia comes with her scheduling experience as well as organizational skills to run the factory floor at Joynt Fabrication and Design.

Joynt Fabrication and Design’s strengths come from the fact that all the key people have on set experience and production experience which is very important in terms of understanding a brief and giving REALISTIC timings and quotes.

Nils and Jason have worked extensively on set and understand the technical aspects of set/prop building. Tracey understands production budgets, timings and the demands of a director on the art department. And with Alicia to schedule and organize realistic timings to produce the required sets/props they’ve got everything covered.

As a team they are therefore able to give you a realistic quote and timing, which will hopefully take some of the pressure off when trying to meet “that budget” or “deadline”!
