1. What kind of events do we host?

We host weddings, corporate functions and intimate occasions.

2. What is our studio capacity for events?

Each of our studios can seat max 120 guests comfortably and 150 guests cocktail style.

3. Do we have hourly rates for events?

We offer full day events from 8:00 – 18:00 and have Extended night rates 8:00 – 00:00

4. Do we provide catering and décor?

We do not supply any sort of catering or décor.
With Studio rentals for events, we leave you with a blank canvas to dress up as you please.

5. Do I need a break down?

We would recommend a break down day for your own convenience. As we are a working studio, all spaces are to be cleared by end of event day.

6. What electrical power does Roodebloem Studios offer?

The Church, Jett Studios and the Drive-In studio all have 3 phase power in the studio, we supply a basic set of DB Boxes. Check the spec outputs for each studio.

7. What is security like at the Studio? Can we leave gear at the Studio overnight?

Roodebloem Studios employ two Security Guards that look after the vehicles whilst you are here on your shoot. Roodebloem Studios won’t take responsibility for any belongings that could go missing, however we can say that our buildings have proven to be very safe over the many years that we have been here. Our alarm systems have also proven to be top class.

8. Do you provide generators in case of power outage?

We cannot guarantee Eskom’s power supply; however, we do own several generators should there be a power outage.

1. Are we just a photographic studio?

We are a stills and video studio, however none of our studios are soundproof.

2. What does it mean if you are a 2nd option?

It means you are second in line and someone else is holding a 1st option.
If you would like to confirm, I will need a confirmation request from you.
Then I will issue the 1st option holder with a 24-hour release.
If they release, the space is yours, if not then we will have to relook at a different studio or different dates.

3. Do we do personal photoshoots?

We only offer studio spaces and gear rental.
We do not have any in house photographers or postproduction.

4. What are our operating hours?

Our operating hours are 8:00 – 18:00 weekdays, with an additional hourly rate for overtime hours. Shoots on a weekend or public holiday would be subject to a surcharge of R800.00 ex vat to get a staff member in for the day.

5. Will there be help at the studio?

We always have staff in studio that can assist with gear or any technical problems. If you need specific assistance be it gear or studio related, let us know in advance and we can chat about it.

6. What electrical power does Roodebloem Studios offer?

We do delivery and collection of gear across Cape Town at a fee based on distance.

3. Do you source in gear if you don’t have it?

We stock a big selection of gear, send us a list of what you require, and we will happily arrange your gear. Nothing better than arriving at your shoot and your gear is waiting for you.

4. Will there be help at the studio?

We always have staff in studio that can assist with gear or any technical problems. If you need specific assistance be it gear or studio related, let us know in advance and we can chat about it.

5. What items do you stock other than just lighting?

We stock a comprehensive range of paper backdrop rolls, fabric, painted canvas backdrops, stands, smoke and wind machines, stands, scrims, apple boxes,
