OK, so our Church Studio doesn’t have any bells in it but that didn’t detract from the latest wedding celebration we hosted. We converted this wonderful space into a photographic studio by installing an infinity curve at the one end and this studio is a favourite amongst fashion photographers. One of the reasons so many photographers love this studio is the character it has and this is why it still makes a great venue for wedding ceremonies and even receptions. Just take a look at these beautiful photos of Lizzy and Nigel’s special day taken by Catherine Mac
Together with the Church you will get the Gallery and the Courtyard which are great spaces to use for preparation or for welcome drinks before your wedding begins.

Each year The Aleit Group releases their much-anticipated Limited Edition Online Magazine. This year the theme was STEAM PUNK which can be described as ‘Victorian beauty meets mechanical engineering.’
Shot in our Church Studio this shoot was the brainchild of Johnny Hamman, Creative Director at The Aleit Group, whose interpretation of the Steam Punk theme was as follows, “imagine Marie Antoinette and Leonardo da Vinci have been dating for a few months. They then decide to host a lavish dinner/ dance party in an old steel factory. The result would be amazing!” With that you can just imagine how crazy the set was. Here are a few teaser photographs courtesy of Joe Dreyer.

Last week Shereen Amos of Sugarbird Studios and Valentina Mrslove put on a production like no other in our Church Studio. This was in association with SircuSynergy, with Lauren Amy Hoffmeyer and Rory Avenstrup. They transformed our Church Studio into a variety of stages making use of the curve as well as suspending acrobatic acts from the ceiling rafters. A canvas stretched over our Courtyard protected the welcome area from the elements and to carry the theatrical theme all the way through they even dressed up our security guard.

Here are the amazing team and cast that put this show together and if you want to see the performers in action

M-Net’s proudly local channel Mzansi Magic’s brand new music reality show called Clash of the Choirs South Africa, is presented by the popular radio DJ, Social Media Queen B, Bonang Matheba. The series will bring ordinary people with a common passion for singing together. Seven musical celebrities travelled to a designated province to audition up-and-coming amateur choirs. For the Western Cape our Church Studio was the perfect location for the auditions with its naturally great acoustics and if the sounds we heard are anything to go by then this is a show not to be missed.
Here is a video of some of the hopefuls that came to audition at our studios in Roodebloem Road.
Legendary songstress Winnie Khumalo was in charge of selecting the 20-piece choir for the Western Cape auditions held at our studios on the 21 & 22 December 2012. At the end of the auditions, choirmaster Winnie Khumalo had this to say: “The Cape has talent, believe you me.”
For some behind the scenes photos of the auditions, with all the nervous smiles in our beautiful Church Studio
You may have recognised The Church in these pictures shot by Anton Robert for a Triumph campaign. He has cleverly used the church windows as the backdrop.
