Next week Thursday, Kate Davies will be exhibiting all the images from her #365daysininfrared project in our Church Studio for one night only.

Kate Davies 365 Infrared photography Exhibition at Roodebloem Studios

Kate started her 365 project on 4 January 2014. A friend told her about the official 365 challenge, which is a worldwide phenomenon, but Kate is one of the few photographers to shoot in infrared and her circular format makes her collection even more distinctive.

First of all, she can’t see through her viewfinder while shooting in infrared, so a lot of guesswork is involved and the circular crop requires completely different composition to a camera’s rectangle or Instagram’s square format.
In terms of subject matter, the project is a window into Kate’s life and her images include intimate snapshots of important people and places.

As well as the amazing images being exhibited in one our beautiful photographic studios and the chance to meet Kate Davies in person there will also be limited edition merchandise on display which will be available at from the 4th of February. So don’t miss out and be sure to visit the exhibition at our studios in Woodstock on the 5th February 2015.
