Winter seems well and truly set in here in Cape Town and this shoot for the June issue of Elle SA has got you covered with knits, puffers, faux furs and more. Take a look at these behind-the-scenes images by ELLE style reporter, Niquita Bento, of the photo shoot in our Church Studio.Behind the scenes at Roodebloem Studios

ELLE fashion editor Tarryn Oppel explains a little more about the shoot.

Concept for shoot?

The story was produced to showcase the cover-up and all the new styles and shapes and textures for winter. We wanted it to be quite graphic, hence the perspective and angles.

Hair and make-up?

Because of the graphic nature of the shoot, a sharp bob was the obvious choice for me, which Kevin Epstein did a great job with!

I felt like being a bit more creative with the makeup, so Shanhnaz Cola-Wrensch gave Marihenny an ombre lip and highlights on the lids.

Photographer?

Justin Polkey was the man behind the camera. I trust him to produce what I have in mind and his lighting is faultless. I also wanted to experiment with him, as we have always only shot portraiture or straightforward angles.
