GETTING TO KNOWLES, SOLANGE

Solange Knowles was in our studios last month for a cover shoot with Elle Magazine. While in South Africa she was also filming the video for her new single ‘Losing You’.
In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Times during the fashion shoot, Knowles said about Cape Town, which she last visited in 2003, that “In just under a decade it has changed so much. From what I have experienced it is such a diverse city. I love the arts and the creativity here, also the element of youthfulness saying she loved visiting the city.”
Behind the lens was Cape Town fashion photographer Justin Polkey, who said: “Roodebloem Studios (particularly the church) is a great Cape Town studio option if the shoot requires a level of privacy. The space itself is a great canvas, a large curve with ample lighting space on all three sides. The studios enjoy great support from very capable staff. All in all a great space in which to be creative.”
