CONTEMPORARY COLOUR WITH ELLE

ELLE’s beauty and fashion assistant Maybe Corpaci played with fashion and beauty in a mix of colour and prints perfectly on-trend for the summer season in a recent shoot at our studios in Woodstock. “Fearless shades and flamboyant fashion, the season’s new mood comes to life in colour” says Maybe.

In October’s ELLE, The New Pretty shoot explores the graceful power of womanhood with tactile textures, dainty delicates and skin-skimming linen. We all love to see what happens behind the scenes so let’s go backstage with these photos courtesy of ELLE style reporter Niquita Bento plus a video of the action in our Drive-In Studio.

Who is your model?

We shot with Mariska Engelbrecht from Fanjam. She is one of their freshest faces. This was also her very first editorial, so it was really exciting to take a risk and give her that breakthrough.

What was the inspiration for the shoot?

The shoot was inspired by the new femininity movement in fashion. It’s not to say that we shouldn’t be open to dressing in a completely feminine way, but
