Recently Cape Town based photographer Kate Davies exhibited the images from her #365daysininfrared project. Capturing an image every day for a year is a challenge in itself but to do this in infrared makes this project even more unique. And the circular format made Kate’s collection even more distinctive.
The challenge was to come up with the best way to display 365 images giving each image its own space and not overloading the guests as well as not cluttering up the venue, our Church Studio. In the end two long steel cables were put around the entire perimeter of the studio and each photo hung individually but the end result, I think you’ll agree, was fantastic and all the guests enjoyed walking a year in the life of Kate Davies. The difficult part was trying to choose a favourite to purchase.
